Dutch exports of flowers and plants climbed 8.5 percent in November on rising demand from Germany, France and the U.K., the national flower-product board said.
Shipments of potted plants, cut flowers and other decorative vegetation increased to 397.3 million euros ($521 million) last month from 366.2 million euros a year earlier, according to data published on the website of the Dutch Agricultural Wholesale Board for Flowers and Plants.
The Netherlands last month exported more flowers and plants to Germany, the U.K. and France, its biggest trading partners for the goods, the board said. Winter weather at the end of November weighed on demand, it said.
