Miami, FL – Costa Farms, the largest producer of indoor plants in the world, will open its 2-acre Trial Garden on August 12, 2015 for its annual Summer Trial Garden Open House, where visitors will have the opportunity to see how hundreds of brand new plant varieties hold up to intense summer heat and humidity.
The Trial Garden offers a series of beautifully designed landscape beds, row beds to compare plant performances, hanging baskets trials, as well as mixed-container garden trials. Many of the plant breeders, as well as the Costa Farms research and development team will be on hand to help answer questions and give additional insights on the varieties and gardening in South Florida.
“Our Summer Garden is an excellent time for visitors to evaluate plants for high temperature, heavy rain and humidity tolerance,” says Justin Hancock, garden expert at Costa Farms. “Plants that demonstrate success in this garden will survive in just about any zone.”
The Trial Garden, which is located at Costa Farms – Costa Color Division, 19995 SW 194th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33187, will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
