One of the best things about great moms is that they love you no matter what. Still, a beautiful blooming plant or some lovely flowers can’t hurt.
Florists are busy preparing for Mother’s Day, which rivals Valentine’s Day in terms of business. The National Retail Federation predicts that moms will receive $14.6 billion in gifts or treats of all kinds on May 9. Of that, people are expected to spend $1.9 billion on flowers.
With all the options out there, creativity and thoughtfulness are key. And flowers and plants, like most other things, follow trends but should reflect mom’s likes, whether she likes traditional favorites such as roses and tulips or prefers something more unusual.
