American Floral Endowment (AFE)’s floriculture/horticulture internship programs are now accepting applications for the Vic & Margaret Ball Intern Scholarship Program and the Mosmiller Intern Scholarship Program.

These paid internships (3, 4, or 6 months) provide students with training at the industry’s top facilities (production greenhouse, nursery, floral retail, wholesale, or allied industry company) to develop critical skills and gain practical experience to complement their coursework.

NEW THIS YEAR:

  • INCREASED scholarship amounts for Vic & Margaret Ball Internships & larger reimbursements for Faculty visits! Students selected for the Ball Internship can now receive up to $8,000 in scholarship support upon the successful completion of their internship.

  • INCREASED travel reimbursement for Faculty members (up to $1,500) to visit their student during their internship, allowing educators to also see first hand these operations.

  • New Online Application Platform! Our new online application platform provides a more seamless, user-friendly experience, making it easier to apply, upload documents, and stay connected throughout the process.

AFE internships are the best way for students to gain real, hands-on experience that helps them practice and expand their knowledge. “This internship was remarkably beneficial for my future education and career plans,” Jaclyn Reding, one of our previous interns, said. “Working as an intern taught me more in a few weeks than my years of college courses on the same topics!”
