As All-America Selections celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2012, we are very pleased to present you with our second Annual Report about our organization's status.

With the premier launch of the annual report last year, our hope was to improve the level of communication between AAS and its constituents. As you read through the report, we believe you’ll find that that is exactly what has happened, and that AAS has gained visibility and "buy in over the past 2 years, and will continue to do so.

Like a good part of the horticultural industry, we are still feeling the effects of the state of our economy, but see some bright spots on the horizon. You'll find our financials are moving in the right direction with hopes to be on the positive side of the pendulum within the next year or two. Our home garden vegetable trialing program is going through a major boom period with record entries, and you’ll also find that we’re still enthusiastically pursuing additional areas of the horticultural market that will benefit from being part of the AAS brand (vegetative trials.)

The following pages illustrate the activities that have increased the AAS presence in our industry such as more media articles about AAS and its winners, a greater AAS presence on social media, a re-designed and more informative website, and a higher emphasis on the AAS Display Garden pro-gram. Our core trialing program has and continues to experience changes as we strive to get it more up to date with our changing industry, yet it continues to thrive with a record number of active and committed judges across the United States and Canada.

Last but not least, we thank you for your support of AAS. As we share the following facts, challenges and opportunities with you, we look towards a bright future as an organization that remains committed to the home garden and bedding plant industry. All-America Selections is your organization, and it is the quality and the passion of our industry professionals that encourages us to look forward to the next 80 years and more!
