Lively Run Dairy Wins State Agricultural Business Of The Year Award

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Lively Run Dairy, of Interlaken, received the 2015 New York State Agricultural Business of the Year award. The state Small Business Development Center recognized the dairy's expansion of its cheese plant facility, products, cheese shop and promotion of its agribusiness with a tasting room and retail store. With the expansion, the dairy's net income increased 450 percent, said marketing director Katie Shaw.

Lively Run Dairy artisanal cheese products are sold at Wegmans stores and served in restaurants in Central New York. Steve and Susanne Messmer are owners of Lively Run Dairy.
