The Cheese Importers Association of America is excited to announce details about their exclusive and exciting travel package to SIAL 2010 in Paris. SIAL, The Global Food Marketplace will be held October 17-21, 2010 at Paris Nord-Villepinte Convention and Exhibition Center. The CIAA offers the chance to join this trip which begins on Friday, October 15.
The options include four or five-night accommodations at the landmark 4-star Concorde Saint-Lazare Hotel and roundtrip airfare. Included are daily buffet breakfasts, several sensational dinners sponsored by the "crème de la crème" of the cheese industry, daily private bus transportation to and from the SIAL, transfer to and from airport and hotel in Paris and baggage handling at the hotel.
Special events scheduled include:
- A cocktail party in the grand setting of the Champagne Room of the Concorde Saint-Lazare;
- A historical evening with dinner in the Grand Louvre Restaurant, and a behind-the-scene private tour of the Louvre castle – former home of the Louvre museum;
- An exclusive evening organized by the French Milk & Dairy Board in the superb Napoleon III Rotunda of the Intercontinental Hotel, complete with music to accompany a Champagne cocktail, a spectacular cheese buffet, a gastronomic dinner and some surprises that will be unveiled during the course of the evening;
- A half-day trip to create your own perfume at world famous Fragonard in a 19th Century townhouse on rue Scribe;
- And a surprise evening!
One of the highlights of the trip is a spectacular one-day excursion to Monaco. Highlights include:
- A panoramic helicopter flight over the Principality of Monaco and surrounding coast and mountains;
- A drive along “la Corniche”, the coastal road made famous by Grace Kelly and Cary Grant in the movie To Catch a Thief, and the famous “Promenade des Anglais” seafront in Nice;
- Strolling around the old town of Monaco;
- Lunch in Monaco and dinner on the Riviera in two well-known “must –see” restaurants;
- A visit of the Prince’s Palace;
