Wisconsin Sets Cheese Production Record Again

UNDATED – New figures say Wisconsin still leads the nation in dairy production.The National Ag Statistics Service says Wisconsin produced a record high of just under 3.2-billion pounds of cheese in 2016. It’s an increase of about 1-percent compared to the previous record output from 2015.
Wisconsin accounted for over 25-percent of the nation's production. California produces more milk than Wisconsin, but Wisconsin is the national leader in cheese production.
