Value-Added Dairy Processing for Sheep and Goat Producers Focus of October Extension Webinar 

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Dairy goat or sheep producers considering value-added dairy food processing can learn more about milk’s value during an upcoming Penn State Extension webinar.

The “Milk Quality and More for Dairy Goats and Sheep” webinar will occur from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 1. 

Milk from dairy goats is a noteworthy segment of value-added dairy businesses that should not be overlooked in discussions of milk quality, according to organizers. 

During this webinar, participants will hear from educators who will provide a primer on dairy goat production and milk quality.  

Among other topics, participants will learn: 

— Dairy goat production considerations. 

— Animal health practices. 

— Best practices and tools for high-quality milk.  

Penn State Extension offers this event at no charge. The registration deadline is Sept. 30. 

Registration is required to receive the link to access the webinar. A link to the recorded webinar will be emailed to registrants within ten business days after the live event. The recording will be accessible for six months from the event date.
