It’s Time to Bust These Dairy Industry Myths

Whenever one mentions their connection to the dairy industry, they often encounter pervasive myths that require correction. A common misconception is that cows in a barn are less happy than those freely roaming in fields. Addressing such myths can empower individuals in the industry to clarify misconceptions and share a more accurate narrative about the lives of dairy cows.
It doesn’t seem to matter where you go. As soon as you tell someone what you do for a living — that you are associated with the dairy industry — you hear things that just don’t ring true or are asked to clarify myths that have been floating around.
I am going to address a few of those myths and hope they give you some ammunition the next time you are confronted.
One myth is that cows in a barn are not as happy as those that roam in a field and come to the barn to milk.
