Wal-Mart is slashing prices, selling 12-pound turkeys for less than $5 each as the discounter looks to appeal to shoppers preparing for the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday, building on its plan, announced last month, to slash prices in its U.S. Wal-Mart stores every week until Christmas.

Fairbank Farms Recalls Ground Beef For Possible E. coli O157:H7 Contamination

New York firm Fairbank Farms is recalling approximately 545,699 pounds of fresh ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. The recall was prompted by illnesses in Connecticut, Maine and Massachusetts.
