The Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce, including part of northern Texas,
with a population base of nearly four (4) million people, presented Stewart
Systems with an International Business Achievement Award for small to medium
sized companies ($30 to $100 million). The award was given to the Stewart
Systems management for global export expansion and outstanding civic involvement
related to the economic growth in the North Texas Region.
The award was given to Stewart Systems based on achieving a consistent corporate
growth in the past few years with a continued upward trend of export sales.
Stewart Systems sold baking equipment to all the major continents plus several
developing countries during the past two years according to Len Kilby, President
of the company. The Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce, consisting of 20 Board
of Directors, were also impressed with Stewart Systems future business plans
with continued export and domestic growth through new product development and
expanded image building on a world wide basis.
Stewart Systems is a 63-year-old fully integrated manufacturer of high-speed
bread and bun bakery systems sold in over 35 countries. The company employs 125
people located in Plano, Texas. The company has a network of sales and service
resources on a worldwide basis.
