Madison Bimbo Bakery To Shut Doors Jan. 2

OCONOMOWOC — The Bimbo Bakery at 3401 E. Washington St. in Madison will be closing its doors on Jan. 2, 2019, the bread and bun manufacturer announced Wednesday.

In a press release, Bimbo stated the company will be shifting production to other facilities in the region.

While Bimbo owns Brownberry Bread, Nicole Lasorda, a public relations representative for Buchanan Public Relations, said the Oconomowoc Brownberry Factory “will not be affected.”

The Madison location employs 158 people and produces bread and buns.
