A Moncton-based bakery is getting nearly $1.4 million from the federal and provincial governments to upgrade its production facilities and expand into the southeastern U.S. market.
The funding for Fancy Pokket Corporation will mean dozens of jobs for Moncton, said company president and CEO Mike Timani.
"We've been 24 years in business now and by the time we open … the plant in the States, we will be able to double our business in Moncton in the next four years after we open the plant in the U.S." he told CBC News.
"What it means for Moncton, it will create another 30 jobs once we double the business from the U.S."
