There's a lot to like about Clark Street Bread, the do it yourself bakery operation that Zack Hall started out of his apartment in West Hollywood. Now fans of the wholesale operator will be able to chat with the man himself while grabbing loaves and more from a retail address coming to Echo Park in 2017.
Hall has signed on to be a part of the upcoming Echo Park Village project on Glendale Boulevard, just south of the 101 alongside Historic Filipinotown. It's just a few doors down from the old TiGeorges' Chicken address, in the midst of a long run of construction that seeks to transform the entire stretch into a retail hub.
The Clark Street Bread space comprises some 3,000 square feet, tucked into a brick building that comes complete with bow and truss ceiling elements and lots of natural light. The location was an office space for years, but is currently being gutted in anticipation of the bakery's arrival.
