Boulder Brands Inc., the maker of brands including Udi's Gluten Free and Earth Balance, is considering options that could include selling and thinning product lines to improve the company's financial health.
Officials for the Boulder-based natural foods maker said Thursday the company has received inquiries from "a number of qualified parties" interested in a transaction. They have enlisted William Blair & Co. to review strategic and financial alternatives.
The announcement, on the same day Boulder Brands reported a $3.3 million loss and a drop in sales in the second quarter, comes at a time of volatility for the company.
