Bakers Urge FDA To Streamline & Communicate

FDA should seek additional information for its facility registration process thereby streamlining the agency’s facility inspection priorities to ensure the correct expertise is deployed to inspect a facility. As part of the provisions of the Bioterrorism Act of 2002, food facilities are required to register with FDA. Further, ABA urged FDA to improve its internal communication regarding registered facilities. ABA members have received repeated inquiries for the same type of information once a facility is registered, thereby using valuable industry and FDA resources.
