A Waukesha-based wholesale bakery plans to build a new facility in Cudahy after running into higher-than-expected costs at a proposed Menomonee Falls site.
Angelic Bakehouse Inc. has agreed to buy a portion of the former Iceport site and hopes to begin construction in April and move there by August, said James Marino, co-owner.
"We're full speed ahead on Cudahy and are just ironing out the details," Marino told me Tuesday.
The growing company, with 29 employees, expects to have 40 to 50 employees within a year after moving and 100 employees within three years.
