Absorbency Expertise Used In Sirane Seafood Packaging Range

Sirane’s expertise in absorbency has been put to good use in a new range of mats and liners for seafood packaging – a market crying out for new technologies.

The company’s new Dri-Fresh Sea-Fresh range of absorbent liners quickly and effectively absorbs the melting ice and juices released during transportation. The liquid is absorbed and trapped inside the Sea-Fresh liner to prevent spillage and reduce odour.

A new machine – designed and built by Sirane’s in-house engineering team – now allows for far greater flexibility in the range, with almost any size or absorbency now available.

Jeremy Haydn-Davies, sales director for food packaging, said: “We’ve worked closely with seafood companies and they’ve told us that this product range is exactly what they need. They need high absorbency over a sustained period of time in a range of sizes.
