Raleigh, NC's Collazo Produce Expands To Greensboro

Growing demand for fresh-cut cilantro, papayas, avocados and other goods is driving a Raleigh produce company to expand in Greensboro.
Collazo Produce Inc. recently leased a nearly 17,000-square-foot freestanding building at 211 Industrial Ave. to expand distribution across the Triad.
The expansion is a strategy designed to help Collazo better serve a growing number of supermarket customers in the Triad and expedite shipments. It will add up to 13 jobs in both office and warehouse positions and purchase about $120,000 worth of equipment that will include everything from coolers to a forklift. Collazo officials expect the Greensboro location to be fully operational within about six months.
Jason Ofsanko, a broker with Triad Commercial Properties who brokered the transaction, said Collazo is taking over a space that was housed by Mother Murphy’s, a Greensboro-based flavor maker. The building had been vacant for about six months, Ofsanko said.
