DENVER — Continuing to uphold its reputation for quality lamb products and excellent service, Superior Farms proudly received the Sysco Denver Silver Supplier Award last Friday. The annual award is based on sales growth, visibility, engagement, support of the Sysco sales team and marketing contribution.
“We are thrilled to be considered for this category and win,” said Craig Powell, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Superior Farms. “We know we have a great product, but it’s equally important to us that we be a good partner to our customers.”
Vivian Brooks, Category Manager for Sysco Denver said, “Superior Farms is a Colorado company that we have a long-term relationship with. Because of their location they are able to provide us with many unique options and deliver the freshest lamb product to us several times a week. Their local sales team has built a great working relationship with merchandising, and offer outstanding support with training and samples to our sales force.”
Superior Farms increased case growth by 10% in the 2011 fiscal year with Sysco. This is the first time they have been awarded a supplier award by the foodservice distributor. They were considered among all perishable protein companies.
“Sysco is one of our best customers and we are proud to consistently bring them high quality lamb for their distribution,” said Tina Roberts, AVP of Marketing and Culinary Development. “This is just so special.”
