Canada Safeway Will Christen Its First Internal Mini-Liquor Store This Summer

ATTENTION Safeway shoppers: there could be a special on Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon in aisle one of the Liquor Mart Express this summer.
Canada Safeway will christen the first mini-liquor store inside a Manitoba grocery store this summer at its 2155 Pembina Highway location.
The innovation was first announced last November. Construction of the 755-square-foot store is expected to begin shortly.
Because of their smaller footprints, the mini-stores won't be able to stock the same breadth of product as full-sized liquor stores, but they will offer a selection of beer, wine and spirits.
