Cedar Key Clam, Oyster Farmers Put Harvest On Hold For Hurricane Michael

If humans could go to war against a hurricane, Mike Davis would be a decorated veteran.

The 66-year-old owner of Cedar Key Seafarms has lived through some of the most powerful storms Florida has experienced.

In 2016, Davis took cover as Hurricane Hermine bore down on his oyster farm, bringing with it tons of water and thousands of dollars worth of damage.
