TORONTO – New products (or re-imaged ones) energize retail and offer consumers the thrill of discovery.
To help the best new products stand out to retail buyers, grocery journalists and adventuresome consumers, Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards has, for the last quarter century tested, evaluated and helped identity the "best of the best".
The 25th Anniversary Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards, which is hosted by the Retail Council of Canada is now accepting entries (deadline is November 27, 2017) for the special silver anniversary program. Long known as being one of the most effect, well-proven ways to simultaneously capture the attention of CPG decision makers, retailers, editors, grocery industry influencers, bloggers AND consumers from across Canada, the 25th Anniversary Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards will provide manufacturers the unique opportunity to:
- Receive objective feedback (not influenced by distribution or packaging) on their products' strengths and weaknesses.
- Get experienced advice and new ideas on their listing and distribution strategies.
-
If a finalist or winner, the new products and their manufacturers will also benefit by being able to:
- Feature the prestigious 25th Anniversary Canadian Grand Prix New Product Award endorsement on their packaging for up to two years
- Sample at the Canadian Grand Prix Gala Dinner on May 30, 2018
- Appear in special issues of leading national grocery trade publications as well as consumer print and digital flyers distributed nationally to over a million households.
Also new for the 25th Anniversary Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards is the rebate guarantee which returns a portion of entrants' fees if they do not become a finalist or winner.
"As an organization that supports retail in Canada, Retail Council of Canada must encourage the companies that are driving grocery innovation," said Dave Wilkes, Senior Vice President, Government Relations and Grocery Division Retail Council of Canada. Mr. Wilkes added, "We are seeing tremendous response from independent entrepreneurs who have products that are sought after by consumers. The Grand Prix program provides an opportunity to raise the profile of these products with grocery retailers across the country. Retail Council of Canada's goal is that the rebate guarantee will encourage even more creativity in new grocery product development and open up the benefits of the Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards to more manufacturers."
The 25th Anniversary Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards will accept applications until November 27, 2017. The submitted products will then be put through an extensive evaluation process that will take place over several months and the winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner on May 30, 2018.
New products can also be submitted directly online at http://www.rccgrandprix.ca/submit-your-product.
The 25th Anniversary Grand Prix New Product Awards is open to both RCC members and non-members.
