Salinas, CA — Green Giant™ Fresh is headed to Chicago for the 2017 United Fresh show next week. With several exciting new innovations on the radar, the Green Giant Fresh team will be showcasing their new Vegetable Noodles at the show. New on-trend, value-added products including Beet, Butternut, Carrot, Sweet Potato and Zucchini Noodles are each available in 12-ounce pouches, 20- ounce clamshells and 6-ounce bowls, and are available for nationwide distribution.
These new items—which were named as a finalist in the Best New Vegetable Product category of the 2017 United Fresh Innovation Awards—come on the heels of several other popular innovations for the company, including their patented Cauliflower Crumbles®, Cauliflower Crumbles Fried Rice Blend and Sweet Potato & Cauliflower Crumbles. “Helping time-starved and health conscious consumers easily prepare everything from a quick side dish to a culinary masterpiece, without sacrificing nutrition or taste, is central to the development of all our fresh creations,” said Jamie Strachan, chief executive officer of Green Giant Fresh.
In keeping with the company’s Vision of Growing next generation healthful foods, their focus remains distinctly on developing healthful and nutritious value-added products that need little in the way of preparation, and leave little mess behind. Four of the five new vegetable noodle products feature a stream in pack option (Butternut, Carrot, Sweet Potato and Zucchini Noodles), and all five are out-of-package ready for cooking.
