Blazing Bagels Makes Dough Via Retail, Wholesale

Though the last four years have forced many small businesses to tread the economy with their heads barely above water, business has only gotten better for Blazing Bagels and Bakery Inc. owner and founder Dennis Ballen.
“Recession? What recession?” said Ballen, who prefers the title Head Bagel.
“The economy didn’t hit us a bit. We had great numbers, and saw great increases,” he continued. “We’re not a $15 pizza or a $20 sit-down meal. Bagels and cream cheese for $2.50 — it’s a classic, and still very affordable even when people aren’t doing so well.”
