Per Donald Souther, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing: In keeping with our mantra, “Your Direct Link to the Grower,” we added programs on melons from Mexico a couple of years ago. This winter season, we have additional growers from Mexico for Cants, Dews and Watermelons plus programs from Central America arriving to both East Coast and West Coast.
To assist us with Sales and Marketing, Vision Produce Company has added to our staff 3 industry veterans to strategically continue our growth in this category. Bob Valenzuela, Darrin Wadman and Sergio Lozano bring many years of Melon category experience to our team and will help link our growers to retail, foodservice and wholesale accounts.
We will continue to expand on our “La Vision Brand” with our direct grower sourcing.
