LAINGSBURG – The owners of a produce distribution business are trying to stay positive in the wake of a Friday night fire that destroyed their 40-year-old enterprise.
Tracy Randall, general manager of Round Lake Produce & Distributing, called the damage a “total loss.” Local fire officials could not be reached for comment.
“We’re waiting to see what the insurance company has to say … what we can do next,” Randall said Monday. “We’re hoping to temporarily set up in a remote location.”
Randall said the fire broke out around 8:30 p.m. Friday and firefighters left around 6 a.m. Saturday – close to 10 hours later.
