High Liner Foods Expands Popular GUINNESS Brand Distinctive Seafood Line With New Battered Items

PORTSMOUTH, NH – High Liner Foods, the leading North American value-added frozen seafood company, has introduced new items to its GUINNESS® Distinctive Seafood line. Originally launched in 2014, this line is produced with real GUINNESS® stout and includes beer-battered and flame-seared products. The line is a collaboration between High Liner Foods and Diageo, the producer of GUINNESS®, the #1 stout in the world, and the world's largest producer of spirits.

With today's launch, High Liner Foods has added four beer-battered products to its GUINNESS® Distinctive Seafood line-up. These new products include: Stouties™ natural hand-cut mini battered cod portions, battered haddock fillets and battered haddock tenders. The GUINNESS® Distinctive Seafood beer-battered selections are made with premium seafood and a light, authentic GUINNESS® batter. Rustic yet upscale, these varieties fit perfectly on any dining operation's menu, from bar and grill to white tablecloth.

With snacking and shareable options more popular than ever, the addition of Stouties™, provides operators with menu versatility that customers are sure to love. These natural hand-cut mini cod portions are as great tasting as other battered items in the GUINNESS® Distinctive Seafood line up, but have a crispier texture and handheld shape that makes them ideal for dipping.

The new battered haddock fillet items come in two sizes: an approximately 4 oz. portion and an 8 oz. fillet, with the 8 oz. fillet being High Liner Foods' largest fillet to date in the GUINNESS® Distinctive Seafood line. In addition to the fillet items, the battered haddock tender is available in 2 oz. tenders, perfect for multiple menu segments.

"It's no surprise that with the bold taste of the world's #1 stout, GUINNESS® Distinctive Seafood has been a success since we launched it last year," said Carolyn Piscatelli Senior Brand Manager of Foodservice Marketing for High Liner Foods. "We are excited to continue to offer operators top-quality GUINNESS® brand items that deliver a versatile and enticing option for every menu application."
