LOS ALAMITOS, CA — The Produce Marketing Association (PMA) recognized Frieda’s Specialty Produce, along with three other exhibitors, with a “Best of Show” award on October 17 at PMA’s Fresh Summit convention in Orlando, Fla. Sponsored by The Packer, the awards recognized the exhibits’ outstanding salesmanship and presentation excellence.

Frieda’s booth won second place in the in-line booth category. Mooney Farms won first place in the category. For the island booth category, Brooks Tropicals and Del Monte foods were first and second place winners, respectively. Booths were judged on presentation, product display and exhibit personnel.

Frieda’s new 10-by-30-foot booth (#3143) has a clean, simple and modern style. Bright colors and high-impact photography, along with purposeful product displays reflect the company’s passion for specialty produce. Graphic panels feature copy that speaks directly to produce retailers about building business with specialty produce – “It all adds up at the register.”

The new booth design also communicates Frieda’s unique story, company culture, and its important role of introducing specialty produce items to the marketplace – “Changing the way America Eats.” The booth graphics were designed by Marliese Ward, the company’s art director, using in-house produce photography.
