A foreign-worker visa program that some Delmarva employers use to fill landscaping, construction and seafood jobs is running once again, officials say.
The federal government reached its cap on so-called H-2B visas on March 26. That left 40 percent of regional seafood processors short on hands for the 2015 crab season, officials estimate.
A Department of Homeland Security audit found 3,000-6,000 unused visas, which were made available for applicants starting Friday.
