Vardaman, MS – Edmondson Farm, one of the largest sweet potato producers in the United States and its sister company, SMP Southeast Marketing, are now active partners with Palmer Home for Children and ChildX. In honor of National Foster Care Awareness Month, which is this May, Edmondson Farm and SMP Southeast will be shipping their sweet potatoes in boxes featuring the logos of Palmer Home for Children and ChildX. This special box was designed and produced by Pratt Industries in cooperation with the Palmer Home and Edmondson Farm. Additionally, Edmondson Farm and SMP Southeast will be displaying and promoting the box at food shows nationally.
Edmondson is a leader and innovator in the production, packaging, shipping, and sale of sweet potatoes. SMP Southeast and Edmondson Farm currently grow and sell 100 million pounds of sweet potatoes across its farms in north Mississippi, north Louisiana and North Carolina. They ship their produce domestically and internationally.
During the month of May, Edmondson and SMP Southeast will be promoting the work of Palmer Home and ChildX. Also, for every case of sweet potatoes sold, Edmondson and SMP will donate $0.25 to children in need. “We’re honored to have the opportunity to promote awareness and raise funds for such great organizations like Palmer Home for Children and ChildX,” said Tim Edmondson. “We feel like being blessed is something that should be shared with others and we can find no better place to share our blessings than with Palmer Home.”
