Thomas Foods International USA Opens New Facility at Swedesboro Operations

SWEDESBORO, N.J. — Thomas Foods International USA (TFI USA) marked the opening of a new employee center at its Swedesboro processing facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 22, underscoring the company’s continued investment in its workforce and U.S. operations.
The nearly 10,000-square-foot center provides employees with upgraded space to gather, train and connect. Interior seating accommodates more than 114 employees, while an outdoor patio and grill area provides additional seating and space for employee barbecues, celebrations, and other gatherings.
The center also includes two training rooms, additional meeting space and a chef’s kitchen and culinary demonstration center. New locker rooms, restrooms, and a dedicated room for personal protective equipment provide additional resources for employees working at the facility. On-site kiosks give employees convenient access to important information, while electronic information boards provide safety reminders, benefits updates, company news, new product information, and productivity measures.

The ribbon-cutting coincided with a visit from company leadership, including Thomas Foods International Managing Director Darren Thomas, members of Thomas Foods International’s North American board of directors, and the USA executive leadership team.
The employee center is the latest in a series of investments supporting TFI USA’s continued growth in the United States. The company is also preparing to open its second U.S. processing facility in Jacksonville, Fla. by the end of the year, expanding its domestic processing capabilities and capacity.
