Market 32 and Price Chopper Bring Local, Award-Winning Smith’s Smokeshack & Kitchen to Stores

Schenectady, N.Y. – Market 32 and Price Chopper are bringing the flavors of locally owned Smith’s Smokeshack & Kitchen to store shelves with the introduction of tender, slow-cooked pulled pork and ribs, now available in the prepared foods section at select locations.

The products are prepared using Smith’s signature Soul Sauce #1, a slightly smoky, sweet, and tangy barbecue sauce that recently earned top honors at the Albany Food and Wine Festival.

Customers throughout New York’s Capital Region will have the opportunity to sample the new barbecue offerings during an in-store tasting tour with Smith’s Smokeshack & Kitchen Founder Tim Smith. The tour begins Sunday, August 9, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Latham Market 32.

The launch marks a new chapter for Tim Smith and Smith’s Smokeshack, which began in 2012 as a passion for backyard barbecue and has since grown into a popular food truck serving thousands of customers throughout New York’s Capital Region and beyond.

Known for its small-batch sauces and seasonings, Smith’s signature approach to barbecue is built around its philosophy of “smoke and soul from the heart.”
