St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin – The Potato Sustainability Alliance (PSA) has announced the addition of five new member organizations:

  • Agristo
  • A&L Canada Laboratories
  • Northland Potatoes
  • ProFarm
  • Sharing Excess

Together, the organizations represent diverse expertise spanning potato processing, food recovery, potato production, analysis, and agricultural innovation, further supporting PSA’s collaborative efforts to advance sustainability throughout the potato value chain.

“As the potato industry continues to address complex sustainability opportunities and challenges, the value of collaboration has never been greater,” says John Mesko, CEO of the Potato Sustainability Alliance. “As PSA continues to expand, we are excited to welcome these organizations and look forward to the unique perspectives and expertise they bring to our growing membership.”

Agristo is a leading producer of potato products. Northland Potatoes develops and promotes high-quality potatoes and potato products in Minnesota and North Dakota. ProFarm discovers, develops and commercializes pest management and plant health technologies for agriculture. A&L Canada Laboratories provides soil health and plant tissue analysis and consulting services. Sharing Excess is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing food waste by rescuing surplus food and redistributing it to communities in need.

The addition of these organizations reflects PSA’s continued growth and its commitment to bringing together stakeholders from across the potato industry to define, measure, and advance sustainability. PSA members collaborate to improve environmental, social, and economic outcomes through credible data, shared learning, and practical solutions that benefit the entire value chain.

The Potato Sustainability Alliance consists of growers, supply chain partners, non-profit organizations, and advisors working together to improve the economic, environmental and social aspects of potato production in the United States and Canada. In conjunction with our partners, we support the identification and adoption of sustainable production practices and meet consumer and market expectations by benchmarking the farm-level sustainability performance of potato production.
