Hannaford Supermarkets Names Tony Giunta as Store Manager of the Year

Massachusetts Store Manager recognized for leading with care and commitment to serving the community
UXBRIDGE, Massachusetts – Hannaford Supermarkets recently honored Tony Giunta, Store Manager of the Hannaford in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, as its 2025 Store Manager of the Year. Selected from 188 Hannaford stores across New England and New York, Giunta earned the distinctionfor his exceptional leadership and dedication to associates, customers and the community.
Giunta brings 45 years of retail experience to the Uxbridge Hannaford. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for developing strong teams, fostering a welcoming culture and delivering strong results.
“This recognition doesn’t just belong to me but to the incredible team in our Uxbridge store,” said Giunta. “Every day, our associates demonstrate how much they care – both in how they serve our customers and all they do for our community. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of a team that puts so much heart into everything they do.”
In receiving the award, Giunta was recognized for his people-first leadership style, prioritizing associate development and mentorship. Through cultivating meaningful relationships and leading with care, he has created a workplace where team members feel welcomed, valued and empowered to grow.

Beyond the store, Giunta is deeply involved in the Uxbridge community, regularly supporting local organizations and volunteering his time to strengthen community partnerships. Most notably, he has helped foster a meaningful partnership with the People First Food Pantry, which receives regular food donations from the Uxbridge store as part of Hannaford’s food rescue program.
