SEATTLE, Wash. – The Association of Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers (GAPP) announced today that registration is now open for the seventh annual Wild Alaska Pollock Meeting, taking place on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the W Hotel in downtown Seattle. This year’s theme, “Wild Alaska Pollock: Stronger, Together,” reflects the industry’s shared vision for sustainable growth, collaboration, and global leadership.
The full-day event will convene over 300 stakeholders, including GAPP member companies, global seafood customers, maritime partners, and thought leaders across the supply chain. The agenda will feature the release of key research, including the industry’s second Lifecycle Assessment, two economic studies, and presentations on gear innovation, salmon avoidance, seafloor contact reduction, and sustainability certification standards.
Bob Desautel, Chairman of GAPP’s Board of Directors, emphasized the importance of defending the fishery’s sustainable legacy: “Wild Alaska Pollock isn’t just a fishery—it’s a model of environmental responsibility and economic resilience. We have the science, the commitment, and the community to prove it. This meeting is our moment to stand united, show the world how sustainable fisheries are built, and rally everyone—from harvesters to vendors—around protecting what we’ve built together.”
Additional agenda highlights include remarks from Members of Congress and the Administration; “State of the Industry” addresses by GAPP and the Alaska Pollock Fishery Alliance; and global market updates.
The W Hotel will host the annual event for the second consecutive year, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and concluding at 5:00 p.m., followed by a networking reception. A discounted hotel block is available for attendees. USI Insurance Services returns as the title sponsor, with sponsorships available at all other levels.
GAPP CEO Craig Morris added: “What began as a check-in has evolved into a pivotal gathering of minds and momentum. It’s where our industry aligns, learns, and commits to a future built on shared purpose and proven sustainability.”
