WMMB Debuts Holiday Issue of Grate. Pair. Share.

MADISON, Wis. — The new Holiday issue of Grate. Pair. Share. from the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board is a cheese lover’s guide to gift giving, cocktail parties and elegant holiday desserts.

Wisconsin Cheese is a staple for many holiday gatherings, as well as a popular gift. Last year, cheese sales jumped 35 percent in the week before Christmas, according to data collected by Information Resources, Inc.'s (IRI) custom database for the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, making it the busiest time of year for cheese purchases. The Grate. Pair. Share. 2014 Holiday Gift Guide is filled with ideas for stylish cheese accessories and practical cooking tools, as well as four do-it-yourself gift basket ideas from popular food bloggers.

Holiday hosts will find an array of appetizer recipes and entertaining tips from cheese experts. Cheese balls, canapes, skewers and fondue are updated with modern flavors and ingredients with recipes like Beet Mozzarella Skewers and Cheddar Olive Pops.

For the grand finale? An impressive dessert buffet full of sophisticated flavors. The Parmesan Walnut Chocolate Kringle and “Old Fashioned” Trifle both celebrate Wisconsin traditions in a new way. The cookie plate also gets a makeover with three recipes that showcase how cheese can take sweets to a new level whether with subtle savory notes or light, creamy texture.

Since Grate. Pair. Share. was introduced in 2012, the magazine has received more than 20 million consumer impressions.
