PARMA, Ohio — Cleveland Plant and Flower, a floral wholesale company in Parma, uses its global ties to keep fresh flowers flowing to our bouquets.
Roses arrive at the company's headquarters from Equador, gerbera daisies from Canada and chrysanthemums from Columbia. Peonies used to be a spring-only flower. Now they are grown in Chile and Alaska and shipped here year-round.
"Every day, we get shipments from all over world," said Cleveland Plant and Flower Co. vice president Kevin Priest. The company also sells some locally grown flowers, he said.
