Iselin, NJ – Allegiance Retail Services (ARS) proudly supported the Foundation Fighting Blindness’ Night for Sight Gala held on May 15, 2025, at Guastavino’s in New York City. This annual event brings together leaders from fashion, food, and finance to raise critical funds for advancing treatments and cures for blinding diseases. 

This year, the Foundation was honored to present its prestigious Visionary Award to Michael Tarloff, Vice President and General Manager at C&S Wholesale Grocers, in recognition of his unwavering commitment to community support and advancing the Foundation’s mission. 

Co-chaired by ARS member Jason Ferreira, CEO of Ferreira Foodtown, and Evan Mittman, both longtime Foundation members and supporters, the gala underscored the collective effort to combat blinding diseases. Jason’s personal connection to the cause is profound; his son was diagnosed with Leber congenital amaurosis (LCA) at birth and remains legally blind. Motivated by his family’s experience, Jason introduced the Foundation to ARS in 2011, leading to a longstanding partnership dedicated to funding sight-saving research. 

The Foundation Fighting Blindness is a leading force in the global development of treatments and cures for blinding diseases. With over 50 potential treatments currently in clinical trials, the need for advancing research is greater than ever. 

ARS’s involvement in the Night for Sight Gala reflects its commitment to supporting initiatives that impact communities. Night for Sight is a particularly impactful initiative that resonates with the associates.”
