Baltimore, Md.- Phillips Foods, the top-selling seafood restaurant brand in retail, introduced 10 new products at the Seafood Expo North America. With 100 years of experience in the seafood business, Phillips leverages an unparalleled family history when developing its easy-to-prepare, restaurant-quality meals.
It is well known that consumers are reluctant to cook seafood from scratch at home, especially fish. As a solution, Phillips has developed a line of frozen encrusted fish made with the same care and quality ingredients as its other frozen seafood products. Delicious and simple to prepare, Phillips’ Tri-Color Tortilla Flounder, Lime & Cilantro Chimichurri Flounder, and Spicy Sriracha Flounder also offer innovative flavor profiles that meet current consumer demand for bold flavors. All three flavors will also be available using sole fillets.
The Phillips To Go line, located in the refrigerated section of retail outlets, provides consumers with a convenient heat-and-eat meal option. The new products in this line, including Lobster Cakes, Lobster Mac & Cheese and Tuna Burgers, are inspired by successful menu items at Phillips Seafood Restaurants. The To Go items will be sealed with Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) technology to provide an extended shelf life of 40 days, which will help retailers increase profit potential by keeping these products fresher for longer.
Along with two frozen seafood dips, the new product set also includes two additions to the nation’s number one selling frozen seafood soup brand, Soup For One.
“Crafted by our own restaurant chefs, these new, on-trend products meet consumers’ demand for high-quality seafood they can easily prepare at home,” said Rebekah Cady, marketing and packaging manager, Phillips Foods, Inc. “From quick meals to sophisticated snacks, our seafood will always exceed their expectations for its great taste and convenience.”
Scheduled to roll out nationally this summer, Phillips’ new products are ideal for a variety of eating occasions ranging from snacks, appetizers and sharable party items to complete meal solutions. The entire list of new offerings includes:
