Buffalo's BreadHive Worker Cooperative Bakery Readies To Roll Out

The construction process on BreadHive Worker Cooperative Bakery continues at 123 Baynes Street in the city’s West Side.

The building, just around the corner from Sweet_ness 7 Café, will soon be housing a production space featuring an enormous tri-deck stainless steel steam injection oven named Grendel. That is as soon as construction is finalized and the licensing for the business goes through, in maybe about a month, said Tori Kuper, one of the 3 founding worker-owners of the business.

According to the worker-owners the building has undergone a “historically sensitive” rehabilitation with a complete restoration of the historical front façade.
