FOWLER, Calif. – The start of California’s citrus season brings about new job opportunities to Bee Sweet Citrus, as the company looks to hire 250-300 new employees.
“Right now, Bee Sweet is looking to hire people of all skill-levels,” stated Bee Sweet Citrus Human Resources Manager Jasmine Reynozo. “From general labor to packing and sorting, there’s an immediate need for new employees in our packing facility.”
A grower, packer and shipper of fresh citrus, Bee Sweet Citrus works year-round to supply its consumers with fresh mandarins, lemons and oranges. During the height of California’s domestic season (November-June), Bee Sweet Citrus markets 15 different specialty citrus varieties, and hires 50% more labor to pack and market its fresh citrus varieties.
Bee Sweet Citrus prides itself on providing its employees with a healthy and safe working environment, as well as great benefits for them and their families. After 30 days of employment, the company’s employees and their immediate family members (up to 21 years of age), can participate in Bee Sweet’s United Health Centers (UHC) Wellness program.
“Working in production agriculture is tough work, which is why we want our employees to feel appreciated and cared for by the company,” continued Reynozo. “Through our partnership with UHC, employees can take advantage of basic health and dental care, and can even schedule an annual eye exam.”
Bee Sweet’s Wellness Program gives employees access to 16 different regional UHC medical clinics on weekdays, weekends and evenings, Reynozo added. Upon qualification, employees are also eligible for health insurance and can participate in Bee Sweet’s 401K benefits plan.
With social sustainability as one of the company’s main priorities, Bee Sweet’s Human Resources team is always looking for new ways to show appreciation to its employees. Over the next year, employees can look forward to on-site meal planning, safety celebrations, free flu shots and breast cancer screening(s), and the opportunity to participate in other health-oriented events.
Bee Sweet’s hiring season lasts between October through February. More information about applications and job opportunities can be found at https://beesweetcitrus.applytojob.com
