Great Lakes Cheese Becomes Grand Champion In Dairy Contest

SYRACUSE — Great Lakes Cheese was named grand champion of the 2018 Dairy Products Competition Thursday at the Great New York State Fair.
The processor, which makes its New York Cheddar in Adams, also won gold in the aged cheddar category and gold and silver in the super aged cheddar category.
Judges awarded 34 manufacturers from across the state with gold, silver or awards of excellence during this year’s competition, which was held on the 42nd Annual Dairy Day. There were 241 entries from 68 exhibitors.
