Costa Rica invites over 300 companies worldwide to a focused business networking event in San Jose from September 25 to 27, 2018. The 20th Buyers Trade Mission Costa Rica (BTMCR) is one of the largest business conferences in Latin America. “During this event, quality, innovation, and a large variety of products come together to represent Costa Rica’s exportable goods from the food, agriculture, and specialized industry sectors,” says Pedro Beirute, CEO of Procomer (Costa Rica’s trade promotion entity).

The event is designed specifically to attract international buyers and business partners in the food and agricultural sectors (as well as some specialized technology industries) and Procomer will host the hotel accommodations as well as breakfast and lunch for one person per qualified company. “The event promotes linkages between our exporters and potential buyers or business partners,” says Beirute. “We are looking for companies interested in evaluating our portfolio of products and exploring the potential Costa Rica has to offer.”

During their time in Costa Rica, event attendees can expect one-on-one personalized meetings with Costa Rica´s varied exporters depending on their interest. The event also includes specific networking areas and activities as well as customized advice from country experts. “We expect over 5,000 business meetings with 300 multinational companies and 400 exporters from Costa Rica,” says Beirute. “If you are doing business with Costa Rica or have thought about it, this is an opportunity you shouldn’t miss!”
