OTTUMWA — Unless you’re selling something, there’s plenty of room at the upcoming BeefMeet. If you’re a vendor, however, all booths have been sold out. That’s a good sign for attendees who like to see what new products have been developed.
“There in Ottumwa, pertaining to the trade show, it’s full,” said Adair Lents, director of industry relations for the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association. “We actually have vendors on the waiting list. I think it’s a sign these companies know that the producers that come to the BeefMeets are the movers and shakers in the communities.“
Just the fact that a beef industry business person is attending a show like this Thursday at Bridge View Center can indicate they’re a forward thinking professional. They’re the people ready to listen to a better way of doing things, the association representative said.
