Sittingbourne, UK – Food industry software solutions specialist Affinitus, the company behind the innovative Freshware system, is aiming to increase its exposure across continental Europe with a presence at the inaugural Amsterdam Produce Show.
Following success in countries including France, the Netherlands and Spain, as well as in its domestic UK market, Affinitus is looking to reach a broader range of companies through the event, which takes place in Amsterdam’s Westergasfabriek from 2-4 November.
Through its solutions, Freshware and Agrilogik, Affinitus has worked closely with leading fruit packers over the last 12 months, enabling them to benefit from real-time stock, sales, production and warehouse information.
The company has added hand-held wifi Android technology, which allows Freshware and Agrilogik users to carry out warehouse transfers, stock checks, picking and track production runs wherever there is wifi coverage. The systems are also helping companies achieve more effective traceability, as stock can be tracked back to individual depots and growers.
New technology
Affinitus’ Ian Parfitt said: “We are keen to increase our exposure across Europe for all our products. Historically the European market has lagged behind the UK in innovative solutions for the produce industry, but the technology Affinitus offers can reduce that gap.
“We have introduced new technology over the last 12 months that enables instant information management, allowing for informed decisions via dashboards and handheld devices. Our new Packing/Trading and Food Service solutions all employ these new features.”
A Silver Sponsor, Affinitus will be exhibiting at the Amsterdam Produce Show from 2-4 November. Affinitus product consultant Ellis Cole will be available to discuss software specifics in the Break Out Area.
