Newark, Del.—The fresh produce industry will connect with industry stakeholders engaged in temperature-controlled logistics in Santiago, Chile, during PMA Fruittrade Latin America, Nov. 9-10 and the 2016 Latin America Congress, Nov 10-11.

PMA Fruittrade, a collaboration between Produce Marketing Association and Fedefruta, Chile’s Fruit Growers Federation, is dedicated to the fresh produce industry in Latin America. It provides the global produce industry opportunities to gain new contacts, new insights and new business opportunities.  Attendees will meet at Espacio Riesco in Santiago. The two-day convention will feature educational sessions, an exposition and business roundtables to match buyers with sellers.

In conjunction with the event this year, members of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) will meet for the 2016 GCCA Latin America Cold Chain Congress at the Radisson Ciudad Empresarial Hotel Santiago near Espacio Riesco.  The GCCA serves as the focused voice of the cold chain industry, representing 1,300 member companies in more than 75 countries.

As one of the cold chain industry’s leading events in Latin America, the 2016 Congress will feature presentations on operations, technology, engineering and international trade, combined with a table top expo to create visibility and brand recognition for products and services for those involved in the temperature-controlled industry.

The cooperation between PMA Fruittrade Latin America and GCCA offers additional value to attendees as it connects the entire fresh produce supply chain— grower-shippers, exporters, importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, foodservice operators and suppliers— with the storage industry, equipment, refrigerated transportation and any company involved with temperature-controlled logistics to establish valuable business-building connections.
