CASS CITY — Plans to expand the Dairy Farmers of America’s (DEA) milk processing plant in Cass City are moo-ving along.

DFA, which is the largest milk marketing cooperative in the United States, announced it plans build a second phase for additional processing of milk products at its plant at 4105 N. Division St., Cass City.

“They confirmed they do plan to build the second phase of the milk processing here. Outside of that, a lot of the other details have not been given,” said Cass City Village Manager Peter Cristiano. “When it is completed, it will be a big boost for the economy in the village, the county, and area.
