Linden, CA – UNITEC is ready to support the fruit and vegetable sector with solutions that have never been reached before worldwide in order to improve the entire processing of cherries, from emptying to packing.
An example of this is represented by the new electronic sorting system for both red cherries and Rainier cherries, that was designed, built and started a few days ago by UNITEC and Morada Produce Company, a packing house in Linden, CA
Technologically advanced and one of a kind thanks to its flexibility, the new system can process both red cherries and Rainier cherries and was designed by Unitec to combine high production volumes and extreme gentleness in the treatment.
The new line that was installed in California is equipped with Cherry Vision 2, the innovative vision system completely developed by Unitec for the non-destructive detection of the internal and external quality of cherries, and with a patented cluster cutter, designed to process delicate varieties such as Rainiers, guaranteeing the stem separation without any damage.
A real "revolution" in terms of flexibility, labor-saving and high efficiency, the high level of automation of the line can work autonomously without any manual labor, from the feeding stage up to the packing.
You can switch from the processing of red cherries to Rainier cherries by simply pressing a button and the line automatically gets ready to process the new variety.
After starting a few days ago, the line is already working at full capacity and incredible results have already been achieved in ensuring a high quality output product thanks to the reliability and accuracy guaranteed by the Cherry Vision 2 system in the selection of defects of both red cherries and Rainier cherries.
